hey man, it kinda really dpdnees on the size of the cat that you are going after. i go after th cat starting with liver and i also fish around the river or lake where ever i am to try to catch up a few small panfish. and then i fish with them too. when fishing with cut bait i either cut off chunks of the meat and fish that with a treble hook or either i fish the whole thing with a number 5 circle hook. but to your answer what have i had more bites on it would be liver ..but i have caught bigger cats off of panfish. man i hope that helps you a little good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experienceI am a fisherman,
