I am a Melbourne based (Australia) dog walker and pet sitter. we also do 24 dog care in our pet sitter homes (inner west of Melbourne). Dogs require daily walks off lead to be their happiest (they are a pack animal) and to be fit, not bored, not crazy. If you cant walk your dog daily, then we recommend that we walk them three times a week for our clients as a minimum. A balanced dog is a happy dog that you will not feel guilt about leaving at home, and that can come out to more places with you, because they will be friendly and behave.
